Mr. Dahline with student

Thank you for visiting our site. I am proud to be a part of the Mankato East High School family. Mankato East high School is a strong and supportive school community where families are welcomed and students thrive. Our dynamic and experienced teachers and support staff have a proven track record of success and strive to partner with families to help students continue to grow.

I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education! I am excited and eager to use my skills as an educational leader to Mankato East High School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success. Along with our amazing staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established by MEHS by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on character education initiatives, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of the students' achievement.

All of us at MEHS are proud to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors - teachers, students, and parents - are welcome and excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at MEHS meet their goals and have a successful school year! Go Cougars!

Chris Rogers, Assistant Principal

Dear Mankato East High School students, parents, and community members,

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! My name is Chris Rogers, and I am proud to serve as one of your Assistant Principals at East High School.

Personally, I am grateful and elated to begin this journey with you as your Assistant Principal. The 2018-19 school year will be my first year with Mankato Area Public Schools and East High School, and I am excited to support our East HS community of learners! Prior to coming to Mankato Area Schools I worked in the Osseo Area Schools district, and the St. Cloud Area Schools district with scholars specifically diagnosed with Emotional & Behavior Disorder and Autism.  In addition to my experiences, I hold a Bachelors degree in English Studies, a Masters degree in Education Administration and Leadership, and an Educational Specialist degree with principal and superintendent endorsement.

My fundamental belief is that ALL students can succeed and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this a reality.  This school year, I hope to develop meaningful, purposeful, and fruitful relationships with the students, families, and staff of East HS as best I can, as strong relationships will form the basis of our sustained success.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family and friends. In addition, I love reading, creative writing, and traveling.

As I conclude, words cannot express how happy I am about the upcoming year.  I look forward to meeting you, and please don't hesitate to be in touch!
